Elinor

Everyone...I would like to introduce you to Elinor. Elinor is an antique refrigerator. I LOVE antiques. For me, they make a home feel homeyer (yes, I just made that up). We found this beautiful girl in an antique store and I immediately fell in love. I grew up with one of these in my parent's living room, only theirs is a lot bigger. Elinor is very small and fits perfectly next to our couch. She is a very welcome member of the family.

Doting

I do not dote on my husband nearly enough. In fact I'm probably much better at teasing than doting. But, truth be told Zach is an amazing husband and deserves a little praise.

Zach and I aren't huge Valentine's Day fans. We don't do anything big but we do think it's a fun excuse to do something nice for each other. This year Zach put a lot of work into my gift. He sent me on a scavenger hunt! This is actually the second step. The first step was written on the mirror so that when I took a shower and the bathroom got all steamed up, I would see it. I didn't get a pic of that. Anyway, first clue:
I'm skipping the in between steps but I did want to highlight the fact that he hid the second clue in a file on the computer. I love nerds!!

My scavenger hung ended with this:
You can't see the little Vincent Van Gogh key chain that he got me. He's tucked in the flowers.

It was a great Valentine's Day, thanks to Zachary.

Scouting Spirit

Zach and I were recently called to cub scouting. Without getting too detailed, I'll just say that I'm not really enthusiastic about cub scouting. My father, on the other hand is and he was nice enough to teach us the "Scouting Spirit" song. He does such a good job, I wanted to share it.

Now, I ask you...how can you not have the scouting spirit after that?

Happy Birthday Zach!

I'm a litttle late blogging about Zach's birthday but it must be done! My husband is now 25, which means that for the next 5 months he is only one year younger than me. I had such a great time surprising Zach this year. With me starting school in June I had to make sure that he has plenty to keep him busy during the time I will be studying. That is why he received every book he could ever want. (Well maybe not EVER but he did get about 15 new books.) He also got some exercise equipment, cloths and a GPS. He is one spoiled guy but at least he deserves it!
This is a picture of him with all his spoilage. We went to Applebees for dinner. He really wanted the blonde brownie for dessert. He loved it! Happy birthday Zach, you are awesome!

Jude Redding Smith

The much anticipated Jude Redding Smith arrived yesterday, February 9th at approximately 2:00 PM. I may be a little bit bias but that is one cute baby. Welcome to the world, Jude. We are so glad you are here.
